Sal Venegas is vice president, global leadership effectiveness for Walgreens Boots Alliance. Venegas joined Walgreens in 2003 as an instructional designer and held several human resources roles, including leading talent acquisition, management and development for the company’s 240,000 team members. Since 2017, Venegas has led global talent management, organizational effectiveness and leadership development for Walgreens Boots Alliance, Walgreens’ parent company and the first global pharmacy-led, health and well-being enterprise. Prior to Walgreens, he was a senior project manager at Cognitive Arts and a vice president of AIESEC Polska, a not-for-profit based in Warsaw, Poland. Venegas earned a bachelor's in international studies and Spanish from Marquette University. He previously served on the Association for Talent Development’s U.S. Public Policy Advisory Council and is currently chair of the board of advisors for AIESEC at Northwestern University. Venegas resides in the Chicago area with his family.
